Homelessness Steering Committee June 12, 2018 5:30 PM by Alisa Orduna Back in June 2017, the Santa Monica Homeless Steering Committee (SMHSC) was created to leverage the strengths of Santa Monica’s community solutions network. The committee is a gathering of more than 50 individuals who live
as well as toiletries for kits to be assembled and distributed by the Santa Monica Homelessness Steering Committee. As the St. Monica Pavilion filled, volunteers received basic training on how to properly participate in a point-in-time observation count. This was followed by safety instruction led
management program. The Homeless Steering Committee is a diverse set of stakeholders—social service providers, businesses, nonprofits, health care providers, interested residents and community leaders—who are actively meeting to address needs across all concerned citizens. The first public meeting
